SAFEGUARDING OFFICER

NJC 22-32 £32,654 - £41,511     Required for September 2025

We are seeking a Safeguarding Officer to join our School community.  This is a new role that will centralise the safeguarding function by supporting the existing roles that have safeguarding responsibilities.  The successful candidate will have previous experience of safeguarding within a child centred environment, and will bring their expertise and knowledge to the role so as to be able to offer guidance and advice to our School community.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills being able to forge positive relationships within a short period of time.  They will communicate with all staff within the school and externally with local authorities and other agencies.  Applicants should be resilient, empathetic, approachable, calm, non-judgemental, and possess exceptional listening skills.

The successful candidate must be highly confidential in their work and have attention to detail to ensure all records are accurate and recorded efficiently.  Furthermore they will work alongside the current School Safeguarding team. 

The staff team at Muntham House School are a tight-knit, friendly and very supportive team. The staff team work hard to achieve outstanding outcomes with our pupils. Muntham House School is an outstanding residential and day Specialist SEN School for boys 5-18 with Autism or other SEN.  The school maintains a local, regional and national reputation for innovation and successful practice in the field of SEN. An excellent training and induction package will be available for the successful candidate.  The Schools and CPD programme is extensive and second to none.
