On Tuesday, December 3rd, the Upper Primary classes had a special outing to The Capital in Horsham, where they were treated to a fun and festive Pantomime performance. The excitement was palpable as the pupils eagerly anticipated the show ahead. The pupils sat back in their seats, ready to enjoy a lively performance of Jack and the Beanstalk—but with a modern twist that added a fresh and humorous spin to the classic tale.

On 4^th December, Oliver, Ryan, and Dylan visited Chichester University with staff to meet the head of partnership, James Martin.  This was the first time Muntham House had taken a group of pupils to a university to give them a taste of university life. Many pupils have aspirations to go to university, and it is essential that they get the chance to see what it is all about.

Our Year 7 pupils had the exciting opportunity to participate in a three-day residential trip to Sayers Croft. The trip was a resounding success and provided a fantastic chance for pupils to build stronger relationships with their peers and core staff members while stepping outside their comfort zones.

The year 9's cycled 30km along the South Downs Way from Steyning to Bignor tackling some massive hills. The trip was long and arduous but extremely rewarding, with the pupils enjoying the freedom to cycle in such beautiful scenery and enjoy incredible views. The group stayed at Gumber Bothy, which sits on National Trust Land and enjoyed an evening of campfire games, night walks and good food.

At Muntham, we like to challenge our pupils to help them realise what they are capable of. In September, a group of eleven pupils were challenged to head to Snowdonia to hike up the 1085-metre-tall Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). Eight pupils had completed the 3 Peaks Challenge in June, so this was the second time they were hiking the second tallest mountain in the UK in the space of four months.

Muntham House School proudly celebrated that the school had 0 NEET (Not in employment, education or other training) pupils once again. This means that all pupils leaving the school went on to further training, college or into full-time employment.  This year 50% of pupils leaving the school went into full-time employment.

As part of their Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, year 10 pupils successfully completed the 3 Peaks challenge, climbing the highest 3 mountains in the United Kingdom. Over 5 days, Muntham House School pupils and staff worked extremely hard climbing the following mountains:

1. Ben Nevis mountain in Scotland 1,345 meters

2. Scafell Pike mountain in England 978 meters

3. Snowdon mountain in Wales 1,085 meters
